Idk why but when I look at this image, the jaguar looks like it's saying "I have a certain fascination with death. Including yours."This is not finished. It's actually just a pencil drawing, I stuck a green filter over it. Anyway, it's Rachael's birthday and I asked her what she wanted me to draw. She left it pretty vague, saying she "likes anything fantasy." I have no idea if she likes jaguars or Aztecs or even bismuth for that matter, but that's what I felt like drawing and I wanted to try something different so...
Bismuth is my favourite element (even if it's a tiny bit radioactive) and I always thought bismuth looked like tiny Aztec temples and cities. I even based one novel off of it, a city built of bismuth deep underground. The Aztecs liked to worship jaguars and even the Aztecs have that square spiral pattern all over everything so I threw all those ideas together to create this image. Jaguars have always been one of my favourite cats. I have a bismuth necklace at home
Anyway I wanted to go for semi-realistic while also keeping it fantasy like.
This image is still in the making.
