Description Here, finally finished! I'm not exactly sure how many hours I spent on this...somewhere between the span of 2 days.

Rockhoppers:

Qualities:

-The common Rockhopper lives in canyons
-They cannot fly, only glide
-They are the common ancestor of all the dragons of Pyrrhia.
-There are actually subspecies of Rockhoppers: The Northern Rockhopper and the Junglehopper. All came from the common Rockhopper. Sandwings are the closest related dragons to the original Rockhopper, while Seawings and Nightwings are the most removed and the ones with the greatest adaptations.
-Rockhoppers breathe fire and have venomous quills
-They are excellent at climbing
-Rockhoppers were mainly sand coloured to maroon to blend into the canyon rock. However the skin between their wing membranes can be any colour, and Rockhoppers attract mates with their wings. However, the colours inbetween their membranes only change colour in Spring (mating time), and the rest of the time they are a lighter colour than the rest of them and are speckled white and black tipped.
-The slang term that current dragons use for Rockhoppers are "Carnival Dragons" because they were known for their large carnivals (this is after they became more civilized and began to trade with one another).

Temperament:
-Rockhoppers are very territorial and very temperamental. However, they are also very lazy and carefree. Basically they have two modes: lazy and carefree, or ferocious and aggressive. They get along with each other better than they get along with any outsiders. Mostly Rockhoppers have territories even within their own cities. Although they live in large colonies, they are actually many individuals  occupying a certain territory within the territory. Rockhoppers do not have queens, and in fact, are not ruled, as they are more individualistic. Overtime, natural disasters split them up from each other and they adapted to different environments. Eventually they formed the Dragons of Pyrrhia, and the "queen" idea only came after Rockhoppers adapted and microevolved into three different tribes: The Southern Rockhopper, The Northern Rockhopper, the Jungle Rockhopper, and the Luma Rockhopper. After disputes  broke out between these tribes and bloody battles extinguished the existence of the Luma Rockhopper that certain individuals came forward out of the chaos to attempt to create a system where dragons would be subject to a queen to lessen potential war. Thus dragons minimized the constant bloodshed with the erection of a queen, and the Dragons of Pyrrhia still follow that tradition to this day.

Rockhoppers are still in development but they existed during Jurassic Prehistoric Pyrrhia and no longer exist.

Humans DID exist in Jurassic Prehistoric Pyrrhia and they lived in cities built into the canyons, like the original Rockhoppers did. They did this from learning from the Rockhoppers. Humans originally worshiped dragons and made their cities after them, but Rockhoppers destroyed and killed humans for sport, and many of them disappeared.
