In the Astrolabe game the only person who owns a dog is Ember, as she has some kind of disability you'll eventually figure out as the player. This is her Shiloh shepherd. He never leaves Ember's side and may even accompany her to other planets. He carries a pack over his back warning others that he is a service animal as well as pockets for medical supplies and anything else that Ember may need.
