This is my explanation for hoof and how they work in MLP and how i'm gonna apply this to my comics.I hope its quite clear and that it will solve grip problem :d

That is a very biologically-advanced solution you've got there! I love how you demonstrated and drew the hoof with so much detail, but, frankly, those "muscle hair grippers" look super-uncanny IMO. I have to agree with TwistedTheCrux , this looks like from a horror oWo''Ā
The gecko-style grip, however, is simpler and more appealing. Although it can't explain everything I would still go for that.

Hmm, I don't currently have an idea of how to drop an item, it's tricky. My solution isn't perfect either but it's nice to think of alternatives
