thats really good i wish more people thought that way. I only 'traced' one thing this year and it was acctually only a rough outline of where the negative space was for a scratch board. I used navy blue chalk too. XD

ah well id hardly call that cheating XD being a tattooist i have to trace designs onto carbon paper to stencil the skin but thats as far as tracing goes with me.
i did that contortionist in bright technicolor acrylics coz i suck at skin tone i just cant nail it when mixing paint, so i contort the whole thing X)
i admire people like you that can do skin tone the funny thing is though i can do it in tattoos but not on canvas lol im just wierd

See i'm the opposite i cant do the technicolour. i need to learn that it looks so cool.
BTW i normally mix a raw seinna, red medium, yellow, payne's grey, and white to lighten and raw umber to darken. You only need a dot of the grey. I occasionally use ochre if i want more of a golden skin colour too. hope that helps

ooooh im really gonna have to take that into consideration
yeah technicolor is pretty easy take three bright colors i.e blue yellow and red.use the red for dark skin shadows, working into the blue for lighter skin tone and then to the yellow for the lightest using lots of color variations help. if it helps i will upload my tachnicolor version f your contortionist although the acrylic canvas one is hanging in an exhibition, i do have my wax crayon version which was really fun to do. i love crayon XD

i like it when people can help each other especially at such a long distance its great to think that we are close on here just a few profiles away but in real life we are a lightyear away lol its madness.
plasma donation? how is that done? do you actually get paid for that?! lol here your expected to do it for free. i give blood and bone marrow.

yea i have to call my cousin in the AM to get her before she goes to bed. its crazy.
Yea. they have a machine that they hook you up to and take out your whole blood then the machine seperates the blood and keeps the plasma but puts the red bloodcells back into you. over here we can get any where from 50 dollars to 200 depending on where we donate. And we can donate up to twice a week.
Its pretty cool. there are alot of guidelines you have to follow though.

mm this is true...
Heard they feel like a carpet burn after you get it.
By the way... your a tattoo artist yea?
There is a girl in my class who keeps rubbing hers ( to where the skin is pilling off and its brand new) and teh ink is migrating now and she's blaming it on teh artist. is it his fault or her's?

it may infact be her fault she maybe didnt look after it properly during the healing process.true it takes a week or two for the scabbing to go away but the healing process takes a further four weeks to heal completely-which many tattooists forget to tell the customer.
then again the artist may have penetrated way to deep if the ink is spreading then the needles have went through too many layers of skin.it happened to my mum when she got a tattoo done in the eighties now it looks like her skin is bruised round about it. usualy there is no cure for this apart from cover up but if she wants a cover up tell her to be very careful what artist does it, its a tricky job.
if she goes back and confronts the artist that did it she may be prepared for him to blame her, many tattooists will never take the blame, but this does sound like the second thing i said
yesh it does feel like a carpet burn but during a tattoo,to me feels like when you fall on the ground and graze your elbow lol
