Description
All clear on the rails ahead, sir—wait, are those horses? What kind of crazy train is that, and why’s it parked at a crossing?
Who gives engineer’s certificates to these blasted kids nowadays?!

I don't get why you had to pick that particular train, but otherwise I really like the style for this one. Kudos!

Yeah, probably.
Uh huh.
Oh wait, did I even forgot 2 add the "T" on "though", after the "what's obvious" part?
Ah well, never mind.
Thanks.

Hi, I'm back.
Hey, you know what's obvious?
I though for sure Hyrulian people should've say British rail terms,
Like driver, freight wagon, passenger carriage, guard, railway tracks, points, and, instead of forks, junctions.
Usually, the words engineer, conductor, freight car, passenger car, railroad tracks, switches, and others, are more like North American rail terms as well.
Why da heck do Hyrulian people uses American rail terms, anyway?
Strange, huh?

Interesting; I actually never thought about the differences between American and British rail terminology. But you could say that the games have been translated from Hyrule's common language into the English equivalents, so since the inhabitants of Hyrule aren't British or American, neither one would necessarily make more sense than the other.
Doesn't explain why the terms are the same in both the European and American releases of the game, though. (At least I'm assuming they are. I have an European copy and it does use the word "engineer", but my memory's fuzzy on the others.)

They could live in this romantic little cottage train like an RV (seriously, according to the cutscenes it's deceptively big on the inside, like one of those Harry Potter tents) and travel around New Hyrule having cute moments like this :3

aquanut In reply to Altermentality [2010-05-21 13:20:25 +0000 UTC]
Haha, yeah, the train did appear unexpectedly large whenever the interior was shown (I remember being particularly surprised at the length of the car during the part where you have to fend off the pirates, not least because it meant I had to keep track of the monsters in all that space). I could easily imagine these two doing exactly that; too bad Zelda has so much paperwork to keep her busy at the castle. Ah well, when they grow up they'd get their chance on their honeymoon.

Hopefully no one will need to get by that train parked inconvienently right there where other trains might have to pass.
