I have been using this tutorial as I've been working inorder to make it a back ground and I was wandering how you made the water fall? If I should use a soft or hard brush (if it matters) and what did you mean by change the hue to -9 and how do you do that?

Range the hue - 9 means you reduce the hue -9 points
For the waterfall, I think you should use a soft brush, or start by a hard brush then add details with the soft brush.
Anyways, you should use a brush Opacity 50 Flow: 50-10. A flow 50 means a hard brush.

Oh my... yesterday i discovered you here at deviant art man, i have like 10000 tutorials, but most of them are just a sketch on a notebook, then scan it, then add color here.. that's not what i wanted, i want simple, stardard brushes on photoshop only, and finally..
1st time i really put my ass to work with a tutorial and photoshop at the same time, and i hope to practice a lot using those basic strokes, i really apreciate this. Thank you.

This is a great tutorial, thank you! I learn so much from your tutorials seeing as I know pretty much nothing about photoshop at all. But thanks to you, I am starting to understand how to do some things. Thanks so much! Hmm.. I was wondering.. do you mind if I use that background and add something, I have an idea (i would give you full credit if i end up doing it)

For once, I'd like to draw or paint-or whatever-something like this. Something I'd be really proud of for a while...because I've never painted anything or used a real canvas - whether it's on the computer or not. I guess the whole basic idea is change the opacity and brush to get the effect, and that's pretty much like painting with a palette and different brushes and real paint. Now, I'm gonna try this tutorial out and see if I can learn to draw some clouds!
By the way, how do you add the "frame" to your picture? Do you just move the image to a different canvas that's completely black?
