I'm checking all your tutorials again because there are simply amazing xD I love your work. I've worked a lot with colour balance for a while, but just now I realised you can make an actual adjustment layer, instead of merging all the layer and then go to adjustments xD Thanks a lot!Β

I'm kind of jealous that you never went to art school and you are so good. Ya your proportions are alittle off here and there but over all you are amazing with your understanding of colors. I'm a sophomore/junior art student and im no where near this good yet

Thanks for this. I knew nothing about Adjustment Layers before I read it, and now I know a tiny bit more (still PRACTICALLY nothing, but I'm sure that'll change when I read this another hundred times). SO MANY TUTORIALS TO GET THROUGH!

This was Extremely useful! I ususally use the Levels AL or color editing but color balance seems to do so much more

I have a question if I can
How do you know how to change sliders of selective colors to for example change yellow into cyan? Is it your sense of colour or some special rule? I will be grateful for your response

AquaSixio In reply to levril [2012-12-30 20:59:55 +0000 UTC]
Hello Hum, I try...more yellow... more cyan.... or more red.... more green...., with the instant preview, and I see if it's colder or more wram... how I feel... it's hard to explain, it depends of what you want to tell,
maybe it will be more understandable with this video : [link]

I understand that it depends of my imagination and a lot of practise. But you wrote in tutorial 'Selective Colour' you change yellow into cyan. I tried do this to practise, use this option but I couldn't. Maybe I did something wrong... I don't know...

Don't be sorry Indeed, I like " selective color" tool because it's really interesting to change radically of mood. But you " yellow " has to be " pure " (I mean, if it's too unsatured, the change will be weak...) !
It's hard to help you more, but don't hesitate to send me your questions

Thank you very much for all this information ! It's nice to get to know a little better how things ACTUALLY p till now I've just been playing randomly with those options, and I made my adjustments directly on the layers, which has proved quite tricky, especially with the eyedropper... Now at last I know how to avoid the problem ! Thank you so much!

For some reason... this tutorial is extreemly hard for me to understand >.<
Maybe it's because english isn't my first anguage... or maybe it's because I'm still a bit sleepy but....
It seems it's gonna be very useful for me so I just gonna fav it and take a look at it one more time later >.<

I know I would take more from this if I had some art education. Being self taught has left gaps in my knowledge.
