There are many theories about the connection between the menstrual and moon cycles. I find them fascinating.

The Period. series are dear to my heart. I wanted to dive into this taboo subject and creat something that can bring other people joy and make a basis for conversations. I feel like this whole project is just the beginning of a bigger journey, although I don't know yet where it will lead me.

This art piece is part of a ten piece series under the title Period. and is exhibited at the gallery/hairdresser Zum Goldenen Kamm in Bern, Switzerland till the 13th of August 2021. If you'd like to see other period art please check them out: www.deviantart.com/aralk/galle…
