Seems to be the type of piece that grows on you. Now that I've looked at it more than once, I rather like it.

Yes, I have. And along with the op I'm lost as to how this is worthy of a Daily Deviation. If the photographer was working for the snap shot ascetic then that would be worth noting. But there is no real information about the work. And if DD are to represent the best of our work (photography) then a high quality photo 1 class photo should not be on the DD list. It should blend all the elements of a good photograph, technical and conceptual. Or are DD just masturbations on the quality of our gear?

this is a strong composition, there are interesting shapes, tension, and colors in this photo. for the last time, this is not conceptual, it's all formal.you do understand a DD is not a reward correct?

i mean the orientation of our point of view of the figure, the fact that we cant see the figure's head, the bright yet soft light illuminating it, the top heavy composition, and the negative space on three sides.

Caligula means 'little boots' in Latin even though it's also the name of an evil Roman emperor.

And you can barely see these 'little boots'. Actually you can barely see anything. That's why I'm not fully convinced to this photo. In my opinion would it work in a collage only.

Actually you can barely see what the person wears. None of the clothes is fully shown. :/ I'd rather name it: a spontaneous "go outside" photo.

It's meant to show off the clothing, not to show the whole clothing in full detail, because then that will be a character reference shoot of some sort.
A successful fashion photograph show the clothing as it's worn in a theme or situation matching to the feel of the outfit. Whether all the clothing is shown or not is secondary.
