it's not that she has issues, it's that sometimes she cracks under the pressure of being the leader. via 'Friendship' she struggles to stay strong because she knows the impact she has on everyone. If someone insults Rose, She's the one who has to step up, ecspacilly considering that Rose is the one who taught love. you know, love. That thing that Garnet values.
Come to think of it, Amethyst has her problems with her origins of the kindergarten, and Pearl has issues with Rose.Β
We haven't seen Garnet have any emotional problems, aside from the cluster, (but that wasn't really an 'inner' thing.)
oh man, what if Garnet, the all knowing always assured Garnet, has to come to terms with being leader and being responsible if anyone gets hurt. Or not being able to live up to Rose Quartz.

Yeah. Garnet is an awesome character, but she is an emotional being whom tends to react rather than contemplate things. Her future vision is a strength on the battlefield but also a terrible burden off of it, one that IMO she hasnβt quite learned to cope with in a healthy manner. She comes across as all-knowing but it seems like she doesnβt truly look forward to the real dangers, mostly because her heart canβt take it alone and she refuses/is too proud/is maybe even too scared to ask for help.
Peridot meanwhile sits at the other end of the spectrum. She overthinks things while ignoring/misunderstanding/downplaying the importance of hers and everyone else's emotions. They're kinda oil and water.
