Notes: I am well-aware that Goku is the strongest anime character out there, and Naruto wouldn't really be able to best him, but when it comes to will, Naruto has the greatest. This dynamic between the two is like Superman and Batman, or Flash and Green Arrow. I also want to point out that despite Naruto having a long life span and a demon fox, there'll probably be several times where he may end up nearly dying doing what he does.

Naruto's life is a long and mortal one, and he won't last forever. This anger Naruto lets out is him saying how he feels about the times Goku and his allies almost doomed them, and the fear he has over his mortality and the desire to keep fighting so he can continue spending time with his friends and family.

For him, he wants to live so when he dies one day, he can tell Kureha he truly lived a good life and that he gave it his all. He also wants to be sure that the world is in good hands once he’s passed on. Naruto may be mortal, but when he's really serious, even angry, he can scare a Saiyan like Goku. Naruto doesn't care if his hand bones break from punching Goku, he'll still do it.

Plot: When a mysterious foe known as Fu kidnaps Future Trunks and takes him to a mysterious planet made up of several other planets meant to keep his subjects from escaping, and a mysterious Saiyan takes experimental technology from Capsule Corp, Goku, Vegeta and Naruto must team up to launch a rescue mission, not knowing the dangers they'll be encountering.

Scene:

"You don't understand the situation! This Fu and that Bane-wannabe Saiyan-"

"His name is Cumber and-"

"You do NOT get to interrupt!" Naruto shouts, raising his ki to levels that surprised Goku. The ninja had gotten stronger since the last time they teamed up was what Goku was thinking. If they fought, he believed Naruto could get some serious hits in. "You could've finished him off with Super Saiyan Blue, but you didn't, you stayed in Base Super Saiyan form, and because of that, he managed to escape with highly classified tech from Mrs. Brief's lab. First, you let a bio-android almost destroy the Earth by letting your son battle him, then you almost doom the universe by fighting the God of Destruction, which opened several cracks between other worlds. You let your guard down when you had fought Frieza in his Golden Form, who you should've just killed. You even had to have that flamboyant troll doll initiate a do-over to fix your mistake. Next up you almost doomed us with your precious Tournament of Power you kept going on about, then you and Vegeta, the supposed responsible one out of both of you, nearly had Moro destroy the Earth, and worst of all, you didn't make sure that OG Soldier was destroyed."

"I don't know what to say but sorry Naruto," Goku told the angry 18-year old. "Look, why don't we go inside and-"

"Sorry and a large feast doesn't really make things better Goku! I can't just be all happy and easygoing just like that!" Naruto told the Saiyan, snapping his fingers in the last sentence.

"Knowing about the times you left your guard down against your enemies and talks about fairness in a fight, I'm glad I'm not a planet destroyer like you, if all that power makes me act so naïve. With every fight either one of us are in, we're risking our lives to protect this world and it's people. Most importantly, we're fighting to protect our friends and family! I have my parents, Ayane, Hinami, Menma, Kawaki, Chelsea, Akame, Rito, Mikan, Lala, her sisters, Kotomi, and a daughter from another universe, who is 5 years older than me, and I would give my life, MY LIFE, to make sure they're safe. Unlike you Goku, you will live for a very long time, and people will look up to you, and others, to protect them as the years go by. I'm not a supernatural monster, or a Devil, or even an alien. I'm a human being with a nine-tailed fox inside of him. I won't be around forever. I could die any day, either from old age, or in battle against an enemy we can't even comprehend. If I’m going to die, I want to know that I can trust that you and any of your friends don’t screw the Earth like you’ve done countless times. I may not be as strong as you when it comes to strength, I outclass you in will, and that's going to keep me going down the road ahead, even against the strongest of enemies, until I can't go on, until I fulfill a promise I made to Kureha. If I can't do all that, how can I face her and tell her I lived a good life?" Hearing how serious and real Naruto was, Goku understood how much weight the blond had been putting on his shoulders. All the foes that were thrown at Naruto were unlike any he's ever faced, some far stronger than him. But despite the odds, Naruto had to push himself to keep going and get stronger, even as his limbs were heavy and he was running on his body's "spare batteries".

"I bet you can't even understand what I'm saying, or even keep up. You can't even understand what thoughts go on in my head when I am fighting."

"...Naruto. I'm really sorry. I understand saying sorry will make you feel better, but I can try to make things right with you."

"How could you possibly make things right?"

"You, me, and Vegeta can locate Cumber with Bulma's help and then figure things from there," Goku answered. “You're good with second part. There’s no doubt in my mind that the three of us can fix this.”

"It isn't that simple," Naruto tells him. “Fu is a Demon, and I don't believe science is going to help locate either him or Cumber, neither will detecting his energy and using Instant Transmission to take us to where he is. By now he’s doing the best he can to make sure you can’t detect him.”

"Do you happen to know anyone who can help us?"

"I know several people, depends on who is available, and I believe I know just the Devil to help us.”

"Great! Let's go there first thing in the morning!" Looking at Goku, eyes narrowed, Naruto lets out a sigh.

"Very well. I just hope you and your best buddy don't mess this up."

Capsule Corp. Building
Bathroom

As Goku brushed his teeth, Naruto entered the bathroom, having informed Ayane of his plan to help Goku, brushing his teeth alongside the Saiyan.

"...I'm sorry." Goku looks at the blond, wondering what he was saying sorry for. "I lost my temper and took it out on you. I'm well-aware of how you work and I should’ve been calm about the situation.”

"It's fine Naruto," Goku assures. "I know you're doing the best you can with what you do. I've seen several people doing the same, even amongst everyone on our team, and out of all of them, you always push yourself the most whenever I see you doing anything, fighting included."

"...Since I was six, I had to grow up, nearly forgetting what it was like to feel anything or be a decent human being. I lost Kureha, and my master, who was like a father to me along the way, and went through phases where I constantly kept myself sinking deeper into darkness. But after the Fourth Great Ninja War, when I turned 16, with help from some amazing people, I had the chance to start living my life the way Kureha would have wanted me to live. What's more, I have a girlfriend I love very much, my parents are back from the dead, I have family I didn't even know I had, and I love them all. I want to have more time with them, with both friends and family, and that includes you. That's why I fight, so I can continue to spend time with everyone how ever long I can."

"I understand the feeling. Believe me, I like a good fight, always, but I also love Chi-Chi, Gohan, Goten, and Pan. I would do anything to make sure they're safe, like you with those you care about." Narrowing his eyes at him to intimidate the Saiyan, Naruto asked if he was just saying that to make him feel better. "I mean it, really."

"Then I hope you keep that in mind when we find where Fu is and stop whatever plan he has in store for that Universal Travel Device Mrs. Brief had been building behind my back. I'm hoping you and Vegeta have my back."
