-- History and Personality --

Personality:
Being an emperor all his life has left positive and negative effects on Fremax. At a young age, witnessing his parents’ murder has caused him to become unphased by most everything, good or bad. May it be pain, grief, amusement, etc, nothing seems to be able to get through to Fremax. Yet at the same time, he doesn’t seem to express anything either though it is obvious he is able to feel them. This coupled with the death of both of his wives has left Fremax angry most of his life with all his emotions bottled up in a growing storm. He always looks like he’s thinking, may he be reflecting on himself or other things on his mind. Fremax also tends to seem very stern and tense from stress and his role of head of the Syndicate. It also doesn’t help that he’s raised three sons who are now pushing to become the next emperors of the Syndicate though Fremax will always refuse to step down. Now in his 34-arc reign, Fremax has gained a few skills through being an emperor for so long. He’s adapted to many alien customs and governments yet still stays uniform to the ways of the Syndicate, sometimes even being able to push the ways of the Syndicate across lightyears of space with a silver tongue. He also finds ways to get under people’s skins and push his agenda his way by pushing their buttons. Fremax also sees himself as an asset to the Syndicate, being extremely loyal to the empire he rules and the people within it, everything must be done for the good of said empire. Yet behind this thick exterior of uniformity and sternness, there is still some light that remains in Fremax.

History:
Fremax was born on Arc 057 as the only child of Madison and Lily Canavagh and the first official blood prince of the Syndicate. The public wasn’t made of aware of Fremax’s existence until he was 1-2 arcs old as Madison was paranoid of something happening to his family. Fremax’s life was never destined to be a smooth ride as crisis struck when he became 3 arcs old. His mother, Lily, fell extremely ill and lost her eyesight. Being so young, Fremax didn’t understand why his mother and father both suddenly acted differently, more anxious, more instinctively.
Fremax grew up in a world thrown into disarray as his father began searching across lightyears of space for the cure for his wife. As his father was away and his mother was bedridden, Fremax lost his eye at the age of 5 arcs due to an unknown, undocumented accident. Being unable to take the stress of his family’s damage, Madison snaps and destroys Core satellites in Core-aligned space; unknowingly sending his empire into a full-fledged war.
Fremax was barely 7 arcs old when PENTA started, but he wasn’t dumb about the situation, he knew exactly what was happening. He watched as war on the home front continued and documented every day of the war in a personal journal with immaculate detail. The ominous feeling of defeat never felt so real until Fremax turned 9 arcs old.
He walked into the throneroom on an early morning, his mother and father discussing the war as usual. The Citadel was quiet, the world felt somewhat peaceful in a time of such turmoil. In the blink of an eye, glass came raining down from the ceiling above. Fremax only had moments to run, a single moment to look behind him and watch his family be slaughtered by unknown assailants. Their cries of fear and pain shut out by the quick embrace of death, their blue blood splattering against the white throne room floor. Fremax felt so numb, he could barely feel the hands of the royal guard pull him out of hiding and to safety. It was only until he felt a crown placed on his head as he overlooked a sea of terrified citizens could he feel, he was the last Canavagh. He was emperor.
Fremax was alone in a war where his empire was fated to lose. Fueled by a wish of vengeance, Fremax took his new powers as the head of an empire and changed everything as he always wanted it to be. He was the only voice that mattered in the Syndicate now, and he didn’t care for what consequences would follow after. The Syndicate was rebuilt in Fremax’s image, a militaristic empire built to win all wars, an empire where he was their one leader, an empire that could not be stopped. All seven planets began working towards the war effort. Massive drafts took place, factories began mass-producing military fleets, almost the entire population of the Syndicate, no matter what age, could and would be classified as military. This sudden wave of militaristic might shocked the enemy side of PENTA, pushing the Syndicate to become the victor after 5 arcs of pure bloodshed. Taking this victory to his head, the young Fremax demanded a mass expanse of space from the Core and also free trade with the League. He didn’t care much for the compromises the other side offered and signed the Treaty of PENTA without a second thought.
Not having to worry about war or hysteria anymore, Fremax for the first time in many arcs, took some time for himself. Worried he come to an early and gruesome demise as his parents did, he offered himself up for marriage to any royal family member. Surprisingly, many answered his call but only one caught his attention. Princess Hydrongea from the Brother Planet of the Syndicate. In no time, Fremax, at the age of 16, marries Princess Hydrongea. The marriage went very well for 4 arcs until they had their first child, Verdigris. Hydrongea died at childbirth.
Again, faced with the death of a loved one, Fremax was thrown into rage and distress. So much so, he killed the doctors who operated on his wife with his own hands and destroyed the seventh planet of the Syndicate for unknown reasons. Left alone with his newborn son, Fremax raised Verdigris on his own while taking charge of the Syndicate all while grieving for his late wife.
He grieved alone with his only son for many arcs until he met a non-royal teknic named Terry. Though Fremax thought he would never remarry, they fell for one another and he married Terry once he became 27 arcs old. In that same arc, Fremax’s second son, Erik, was born. Life was good and the Canavaghs were a happy family for many arcs. Many good things for the Syndicate happened as peace finally settled between the Core and the Syndicate after so long. 6 arcs after Erik was born, Briab, Fremax’s third and last son was born.
Then everything fell. Fremax wanted to ignore the distress signals coming from the League as he didn’t see a use in trying to save the planet as it was so far away, but his wife finally pushed him to send aid. Fremax was correct, they were too late to save Decagon but many of the militant ships diverted their course and began evacuating the Rim of the World as a massacre was about to begin. Unknowingly, Fremax not only brought a new and large population to the Syndicate but gained acceptance from the Core. Unluckily, this feeling of acceptance would not be returned.
Just one arc after the events of the Fall, Core extremists infiltrated the Canavagh citadel with the one goal of assassinating Fremax. A formal gathering was taking place in the throne room as they attacked. Fremax didn’t remember much aside from his wife shoving him to the side just before the sound of a sniper sent the room into a panic. Terry died in his arms.
Fremax again was left in a deep distress, but also now with a seething hatred towards the Core. His sons could only watch as the Syndicate was locked down, the Apeirogon closed, the world seemed to close its doors. It quickly returned to its intense militaristic and political ways, going back to how it was back in the days of PENTA.
Fremax now is only 7 arcs away from reaching the official age of stepping down from the throne and his rule couldn’t be any more stressful. He can’t trust anyone, not even his own family.

Weapon(s):

Canavagh Sniper

Passed down his family line, emperor to emperor, the Canavagh sniper is a firearm of deadly precision. Upgraded and refurbished by each new emperor, the sniper has survived 100 arcs of rule. Working just like any other weapon of its age, the sniper shoots solid bullets that leave a trail of light that looks like a heartline as supposed to holographic bullets.

Augmented Ligaments

Not usually used for combat, the additional ligaments on Fremax’s back do assist him in combat. Moving like six additional arms, they cannot lift weapons but their sharp ends work like spearheads.
