Well I can imagine all the spectical fighting like in KH but I recon FF would suit more (considering your characters fighting styles seem very class based) Just all the attacks would look super elaborate.
I've been toiling over a battle system myself actually for my own future projects. If you'd like to hear about it some time I'll fill you in! Recon it would suit Arcanic quite a bit.
