I´ll move this to Scrap area later...Since the dawn of times that i allways tried to do some "Shirow highlight style" and allways with a complete failure as a result...... but now...is this it? I´ve done it? Finally? Yes, is the "Shirow style" shiny skin that everyone loves
Ok..i´ll try to rip off this stupid smile of my face and back to work....

I like the technique. It's damned hard to get just right. I've tried a time or two, and failed. I wanna get my hands on the proggie he developed to add textures to his works. Now them's the juicy meats as well as the highlight sweetness he does.

How HOW HOOOOOW!!! Dang, I can see u either used a regular brush with awesome technique or a complicated brush with good placement...Any clues as to how you really did it?

Well, it´s a mix on a custom brush, blending options an a extra layer...
For the brush here is the options:
Size: 4 pixels
colour: pure white
Shape dynamics: 9% of size jitter
Scattering: 118% scattering
Texture: "Wrinkles" texture 100%
Smoothing option on
For the highlight layer:
Blending options:
Glow:
Blend: Normal
Opacity:75%
Noise:0%
Colour: fff799 (light yellow) (for that particular skin tone...u have to try other for diferent skin tones)
Technique: Softer
Spread: 0%
Size: 3
For the extra layer:
Put that layer below the highlight one with Soft light blending and apply some strokes of Pastel Yellow (again for that particular skin tone) in the areas wich u want to highlight
And thats it

well they're good highlights, but i dont see shirow there.... i dont know how he does it because technically his art should look completely wrong , but he somehow makes it work... its craaazayyy. have you seen his poster book collections?

Yeap, his style is full of "desproportinal proportions" if i may so...he really can make the awkward into sexy, much like Tae Kim does...Shunya Yamashita is the only manga artist that i now that doesnt do it and still have hell of a sexy works
Have almost every Comic, poster, Booklet from Shirow and all are awesome indeed!
