I'm not much of an Azula fan, but after watching episode 315 (The Boiling Rock, part 2) I seriously feel for her! Poor fire princess, betrayed and alone!!I've never drawn Azula prior to this so I'm not sure if I got her features right (if it looks nothing like her to you, then take it as just another portrait of an angry deranged girl
). Image reference was used for her facial expressions. I like how her hair came out, I used a charcoal pencil for that. But rendering fabrics properly still remains a mystery to me.

After watching the series finale, i'm thinking of renaming this from "Azula Alone" to "Azula the Psycho"!!

I didn't feel bad for her when Ty Lee and Mai betrayed her, because she deserved it. I did however, really feel for her during the finale. And her resulting paranoia showed that her friends' betrayal did do a number on her (already damaged) psyche.
I love this expression. Being haughty, and angry, because she doesn't really know how to deal with it any other way. Like hiding her hurt feelings behind a pout.
Nice portrait. It doesn't really look like her in the cartoon, because it's a little more realsitic, which I like.

I don't feel the slightest bit sorry for Azula, because she reaped what she sowed. That being said, I think Azula is an awesome villain very necessary vis-a-vis her brother Zuko. Azula/Zuko is the Sozin/Roku parts of their DNA in stark contrast.
I love the expression on her face in this drawing... a haughty sneer! Very apropos, I think. Well done!

Awesome, she looks perfect, and the emotion is very nice! Haha, I didn't really feel sorry for her at all. Actually, it made me laugh, her friends came to the good side.
