Turnabout Battle 1 – The Sequel

“Lu…” Hikaru stayed silent. He’d seen it, his worst nightmare, the man whose hair is like fire.

“Hikaru?” Trépas said quietly, “What’s wrong?”

“It’s him…” Hikaru stated while clenching his fist. “That’s the man I’m here for, I think I finally understand why I was brought to this world… it’s all so I could defeat him!”

“You know that man?” Trépas asked curiously.

“Yes, but it’s nothing you need concern yourself with. We won our battle, it’s time to return you and the others to your respective trainers.” Hikaru began to walk down the hall again, for now he’d won his battle against the others, it was time to rest up.

The Following Day-

“uuuuuuUUUUUwwaaAAAAAHHHHH!!!” Hikaru let out his morning yawn, after all, today was a new day and they were going to announce the rules for Round 5 of the competition.

Rubbing his eyes, Hikaru thought to himself, ‘Oh boy, I hear we’re supposed to get some new trainers today. Oh well, I’ll just have to defeat whoever gets in my way for now, I need to get to Lu after all.’

Hikaru went about his daily ritual of the morning, he brushed his teeth, took a shower, cleaned his face, combed his hair, but today was special, Hikaru thought to himself. Today was a new day, it was time to get out with the old and in with the new. He’d received a package yesterday from his friend Iris, he often called her Kinomi though so he could tease her.

Hikaru opened up the package, inside was what he expected, some new clothes for the quickly arriving Spring. Inside were some baggy black Jeans with a red stripe going down the sides of the pants. He a also opened it up to see a new green shirt, it was the exact same green as his other shirt, but it was his favorite green after all. And at the bottom of it all was a stylish new emerald-like jacket with a long black collar. It was pretty thin though, it was obviously made to be worn in any weather, both cool enough for the summer, and warm enough for most winter days.

-BRING! BRING!-

The phone was ringing, meaning that some news for the next round was ready to be announced. He answered to phone, only to receive an automatic message, then again, every call was automated, why should he be surprised. The message though, wasn’t too important, it basically told him what he already knew.

“Ugh, I hate going to the main hall!!” Hikaru yelled ferociously in his room! “Oh sh*t!! that was loud, I hope these walls are sound-proof.”

A few hours later-

The head judge made herself quite clear on the rules and quickly left.

Hikaru thought to himself for a moment, maybe he could use this to his advantage, after all, he was going to be using new Pokémon since the rules finally allowed it, but he specifically told he couldn’t use any Pokémon from the Unova region. Looks liked he’d have to leave his Daikenki at home for the time being. Hikaru quickly rushed to the Pokémon center, after a quick talk with the professor, he got his new set of Pokémon.

“Alright! It’s been a while buddy, but come on out Zack!” Quickly releasing his new Pokémon, the light it gave off took form and a Pichu appeared.

“Pichu!” cried Zack upon appearance. Quickly Zack noticed Hikaru and jumped onto his shoulder and rubbed his cheeks against Hikaru’s cheek in joy.

“Ha, it’s great to see you again too buddy! Sorry I’ve been gone so long, but this tournament is serious business!” Hikaru recalled memories from before he merged with his Pokémon world counterpart, but the emotions he felt were still his, this was Zack, Hikaru’s favorite Pokémon buddy. He was small and his only thunder move hurt him when used, but his speed and evasiveness did more than make up for it.

But Hikaru heard something out of the corner of his ear, it sounded like a girl.

“Oh, I just don’t know what to do! What do you think Mr. Snuggles?” It was a young blonde girl with a snorlax, looked to be about 12 or so, but Hikaru couldn’t help but think to himself that the girl had a weird sense of fashion taste.

“Snor!-” The giant Snorlax said in a lazy yet booming voice and promptly fell asleep.

“Mr. Snuggles!! Wake-up! I need your help!!” Yelled the girl as she tried to wake up the now sleeping Snorlax. “Oh! I give up!” The girl exclaimed as she pouted while crossing her arms.

“What’s the problem kid?” Hikaru said after walking up to her.

“Huh?” The girl said as she turned around and saw Hikaru hovering above her. But the angle she looked at him from made him look scary to her, his face was black and dark from the shadows, he eyes glowed red. “UUUWWAAAHHH!!” The girl screamed in terror.

“WHAT?!” Hikaru exclaimed, clearly in shock of her terror.

The girl quickly ran off afraid and was no longer in sight.

“Huh?...” Hikaru said while standing still, but something occurred to him, “HEY KID!! YOU FORGOT YOUR SNORLAX!!!”

Combatants:

Don't worry, there's a reason why Ray is missing his hat, it's primarily because Jenny took it off so it wouldn't get damaged in the fight.

The new clothes for Hikaru were originally going to be his Normal clothes when they were flipped inside out, but the red inside the coat made this an odd idea to use. The new clothes can be seen in the new App seen just a little ways above this paragraph.
