*0250 Hours, Just off the Loqui Border*

*A squadron of helicopters arrive at a military camp transporting reinforcements*
*A little later a convoy of trucks and Humvee's arrive with more reinforcements, equipment and supplies*

*Comm. Eth oversees the activity from the command tent. She is in the middle of taking stock when a soldier walks up to her*

Soldier: Ma'am Lt. Faing reporting ma'am. *salutes*

Comm. Eth: Good, you're here Lieutenant. I need you to oversee the new recruits and see that their transfer goes smoothly. After that is complete tell them to assemble at the middle of the base. Link me when it is finished and I'll be over there soon. Be sure to tell them to bring their weapons with them.

Lt. Faing: Are you expecting trouble ma'am?

Comm Eth: ... You should know me by now.

Lt. Faing: Roger that. It will be done soon... and permissions to speak freely?

"Go ahead"

Lt. Faing: Why are we receiving so many new soldiers and equipment? We're the last line of defense out of 5 other defensive lines. Are the higher-ups just being overly cautious ma'am?

Comm. Eth: The reason we are receiving so many new recruits is because we ARE the last line of defense.

*In the year 2046, a space expedition ended successfully when the crew of 6 found a peculiar crystal floating in space. When they arrived back to Earth about 1 week later after the last transmission their bodies had undergone a transformation. They still looked the same, but all of the crew members reported a strange sensation around their upper chest area. Examination of the crew members showed no external changes, however a large mutation was found in their heart. Despite its size and it's unknown factor, it did not seem harmful to their bodies. Further investigation brought to light several new properties in their bodies.

These new properties are believed to be basic as they have been found in all 6 crew members, but they have different abilities from one another.

Ability: We call it "Resolution" because of his extremely quick thinking in a variety of situations tested outside of a lab. His quick thinking can easily make him a professor at a prestigious university or an impeccable commander of any military branch.

Luna Marishimo
Gender: F
Age: 25
Height: 5' 9"
Ability: We call it "Detection" because of her uncanny ability to detect anyone around her who are out of her sight. Tested out on a 10 acre field, she was able to find all 100 subjects within 1 minute after the direction of hiding anywhere in the field. With the use of a GPS she was able to point out the exact coordinates of each participant.

Age: 23
Height: 5' 6"
Ability: We call it "Linger" because from her reports on her experience with her ability it gives her incredible reaction time that makes it seem like time is "lingering". Along with this, it seems her body moves quicker than the other crew members suggesting that her original ability is stronger than the rest and also has another ability that causes her body to be incredibly light.

Lyke Dellens - (Pronounced Lee-keh)
Gender: M
Age: 24
Height: 6' 2"
Ability: We don't really know what to call it besides "Magnify". Lyke's ability to actually zoom in the world around him from just his eyes is unbelievable. Tested out on the same 10 acre field as Luna we asked Lyke what the target was in various distances. He told us the exact object, plus all of the objects major details, dispelling any doubts that can enlarge his vision.

John Inle - (Last name Pronounced IN-leh)

Age: 22
Height: 5' 11"
Ability: The first day of morning John reported that he felt and noticed nothing. Disgruntled at first when nothing happened, he took a walk around the facility at night to relieve some stress. He then ran back after a few hours saying that he could see clearly at night. After running more tests on his eyesight, it was confirmed that he could indeed see in the nighttime. Sensing something else, the science team decided to run another full test on John tomorrow. We discovered that his physical strength had also increased further than his crew members. John is now able to lift 30x his own body weight of 180.39 lbs.

Height: 5' 9"
Side-note: The youngest crew member and also the youngest member of the SEU (Space Exploration Unit) branch of the International Space Association. She is also the member that is surrounded with the most mytery. There are no records of her birth date, true identity, or who her parents were. She is indeed a ghost in the system.
Ability: She is endowed with the ability to sense what is in your mind. So she is a telepathic in other words. She seems to be incredibly intellectual. She also has the ability to move things with her mind, so she is also a telekinetic. With time, I feel that she can further strengthen her mind, thus strengthen her powers.

This was the report the science team had assembled. All 6 crew members listed here have been exposed to the crystal for more than a week and extraordinary powers have emerged within that time. While the science team were putting the crystal into practice to see what they could learn from it, a space entity arrived near Earth's Orbit. Without warning, a bright light enveloped Earth and instantaneously destroyed all of Earth's major cities. Afterward the unknown, hostile entity sent down ships that systematically hunted and killed any human, on sight. After 3 days almost more than 50% of Earth's population had been wiped out. This day was soon known as "White-Light Decimation".
