Description
Once again an updated Wallpaper (twice in a row actually). That time instead of dedicating it entirely to the Solstheim Castle mod I decided to include both the two original fortresses of the game, as well another fabulous mod, The White Wolf of the Lokken Mountain. Btw, for those of you who are wondering, Masser and Secunda are the names of the two Moons, Masser being the big red one.
- So for the central pic as well as the upper left one, this is Solstheim Castle, a fabulous mod from Korana that add a whole island east of Solstheim, including a small fishing village and a huge castle reclaimable by the player thanks to a quest.
But it's not your regular huge but empty castle. No, the amount of work realized on that mod is absolutely astonishing. From the whole layout of the castle to the smallest room everything is incredibly well thought and detailed. NPCs have their own schedule in an Oblivion way, entertainers are ready to play music for you, multiple new animals like dogs, cats and horses were included and the feeling is great.
There are far to many things to tell about Solstheim Castle so let's just say that its by far one of the best housing mod ever realized for Morrowind. If you don't trust me on that one then test it and see for yourself, I think you'll be most pleased.
- On the upper right corner you can see the Lokken Castle from the White Wolf of the Lokken Mountain mod by TeuTonic and Emma. That time we are talking about a great quest mod. The focus is on the characters and their story, the castle may be one of the most important places on the small island, it is in essence only one of the stages for the story to unfold. Yet, the work Emma did on the story in no way overshadow the one TeuTonic did on the Island, he created a marvelous environment and did a wonderful job. It is the fusion of both of their work that made that mod the masterpiece that it is. To give you an idea on how deep the story is here is the official presentation of the mod :
"One year after the death of their beloved chieftain Wulfgar The White, the people of the Lokken island are still mourning their loss. In the Lokken castle rules Ragnar Fire Hair, Wulfar’s cruel and demanding stepbrother.
Wulfgar The White’s family is shattered. His wife, Sigrid, is kept prisoner in the castle, as Ragnar needs to persuade her into marriage in order to become the rightful chieftain of Lokken. Wulfren, the son, is accused of being the one who has killed his father, and he hasn’t been seen since the day Wulfgar was slain. Laurenna, the daughter, is the only one who truly believes that her brother is innocent and alive. Banished from the castle by Ragnar, she now lives in her father’s hunting cottage on the mountainside behind the castle, where she can overlook her old home, and send signals to her mother in the castle tower.
Still, there is one thing that gives Laurenna and the Lokken people hope for the future: The big white wolf, who has been seen on the mountain ever since the day Wulfgar The White was killed. Instead of being hostile, this creature seems to be watching over the island, and some people claim that he has been sent to them by their Gods, to protect them from the evil that Ragnar has now brought upon this island.
But, now the wolf is missing. The people fear that he might have been injured or even killed by poisoned arrows from Ragnar’s hunters."
- In the lower right corner lies Fort Frostmoth, Imperial Garnison of Solstheim and the first place that will welcome the adventurer on the Island.
- Finally in the lower left corner, lost in the icy desolation of Solstheim, under the shadow of the Moesring Mountains and the Mortrag Glacier, lies the gargantuan frozen castle of Karstaag. The Ice Fortress is a part of the storyline that I won't spoil.

Hello and thank you !
I took all of the screenshots but these mods are from famous modders (in that case Korana, Teutonic and Emma). I myself never worked on any plugin in Solstheim.
I wish I could make more wallpapers (I intended to have one with an overview of the whole Solstheim island) but real life priorities have put Morrowind far far far away on my list of things to do.
I expect things to stay that way for a few months.
