Description On the plains of Chascher, instead of grass, there's vineweed. Vineweed is related to the electrees, so it has a lot of silicon in its body, which makes it hard to chew, and harder to extract nutrients. But one group has specialized to eat them anyway. The chin beasts are named after their chin horns, which they use like a plow to rip up vineweed plants to get to the more edible roots. Their long, low slung body holds a large gut and stomach. There are multiple species of chin beast, which can be told apart by their different shaped nose horns. The lance horned chin beast, the biggest of the group, uses its nose horn as a lance, charging at things with its head lowered so the horn is horizontal.

Also pictured is a small flock of blue-headed beast birds. These quadaves live along side the large herbivores of the plains, picking at parasites on their skin. There are over thirty recognized species of beast birds, some specializing in a single host species, others picking at small animals flushed by the herbivores presence. But they all base their lives around the large herds on the plains.
