Description
For the next magic Sonic had to learn for magic class this week, air students were told to jump off the roof and use the ability feather fall to not get hurt, which was a little unnerving, but water students were here to heal if there were injuries, and Ovo was also there to catch students if need be. Once all the air students were on the roof, it was a matter of who went first. Most people seemed pretty apprehensive about it, but for some reason, Sonic felt ready.
With a look of determination, Sonic stepped forward and volunteered to go first. Looking down over the roof at the ground below, Sonic could see some water students lingering near the magic building, waiting for someone to need their help. Sonic hoped he wouldn't be one of them.
Closing his eyes, he took a leap of faith off the roof, hearing the wind whistle in his airs, and feeling it caress his body as he fell, much to his surprise, it felt a lot less intense than he'd expected. Opening his eyes, Sonic was amazed to see himself falling slowly and safely to the ground, and he easily landed on his feet.
"Congrats, that was pretty cool." Marlin, a water student who'd been waiting by the house said with a friendly smile. Sonic smiled back and felt pride swell inside of him. That was pretty cool! Sonic seemed to be getting pretty good at this whole magic thing, and he couldn't wait to show off all the new tricks he was learning to Knuckles when he was finished with this week.

Sonic is dauntless from Divergent now I guess! I don't know, the way I wrote the story made me thing of it, with the protagonist-like "I'll go first" attitude and the jumping/falling down a height, I'm honestly not opposed though. My motivation for magic class once again was basically nonexistent, but I don't have it in my to just skip out on it, so here I go~~~
I kept having the idea for a fun bottom up angle, but I didn't want to spent that long on the picture, so we got this. It's not bad, though personally I know I could do better, so I'm not SUPER satisfied with this finished product. Regardless though, I'm still pretty happy with this picture, for a relatively "low effort" image, I think this it accomplished what I wanted enough, so that's fun!
I might draw Marlin again if I have a chance, because I really wanted to show off his cool leg brace, but the way I drew this picture it just didn't turn out. Marlin was super fun to draw though, his design is really satisfying, love the fishy vibes!
