Personality: A relatively serious kit who's confident in his abilities, Torval holds himself with an air of respect and authority. Preferring to work over play, he acts considerably more adult than most kits. From a young age he's had an interest in information, money, mental and physical fitness, he can often be found listening to radio broadcasts or training, when he's not working.
Still in his youth and not much of a soul searcher, Torval hasn't quite figured himself out, and can sometimes be caught showing some "out of character" tributes. He isn't the kind of folk who likes to show his emotions outwardly, especially doubts or concerns, but if necessary he will. Torval can also sometimes come across as conceited, given the right circumstances, though he tries his best to remain outwardly professional and indifferent.

Yet another folk to welcome to Grimsby Grove, hurray! I had originally planned for two different kits for this opening, but I didn't feel ready to do them and initiate their plot, so I wanted to wait till I feel good about them!
The story behind this folk's idea starts exactly two weeks ago, when I watched the movie Cosmopolis with my dad. He put the movie on after seeing the trailer, thinking it would be a strange sort of zany movie, and it was certainly strange, though not what we were expecting. So I decided to loosely watch it and it ended up being a lot more interested in it than I first thought!
Cosmopolis is an R rated movie (sex, violence, etc.), and is just generally a strange and confusing movie (especially if you don't fully pay attention in the beginning like I did,) so it's not for everyone, but I really enjoyed the gritty realism of the movie, and the loaded dialogue that came with it. It also has a few popular actors that I recognized which was fun, I found myself especially enjoying Kevin Durand's acting of the character Torval. I think Robert Pattinson did pretty good too, granted I haven't seen much of his or Durand's acting in movies!
A couple days after watching the movie I decided to do some looking into it and found out it was based off a book by the same title! I proceeded to read some of the book preview from google and long story short I ended up ordering the book! I've yet to receive said book, but I'm very excited to read it! The director of the movie, David Cronenberg, said that most of the dialogue in the film is actually taken directly from the book, which I'm totally fine with because I really enjoyed the dialogue in the film (and book too, from what I read.)
Having talked about the movie some, Torval is a character in the movie and the book, who I ended up liking a lot! The idea of a serious bodyguard type character was really interesting to me, and right up my alley too! So far my knowledge of Torval is limited to the movie and a small amount of the book, but that'll change when my book arrives and I read it! Torval's adult design that is also designed to look somewhat like Kevin Durand (because he's great), obviously my Torval is not human, and is still his own character apart from the book/movie, so he still looks quite a bit different.
Anyways I'm really excited for Torval, I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with him, even if he's a bit spur of the moment! On another side note, I might put my other folks a bit on the back burner, I'm trying to not put as much pressure on myself to focus on all my characters at once, because I just want to have fun in the end. That doesn't mean that I don't like my other folks and I'll still do stuff for them, I'm just trying to be more relaxed about putting myself on a time constraints with them, so I can focus on having more fun in this group instead of thinking about all the stuff I should be doing with my other characters.
