i bet you never thought you would see the finished piece...those work in progress shots were submitted AGES ago!
well after a lot of time and effort, here she is..... Motoko Kusanagi
this started out life when i decided i loved the anime series so much that i wanted my very own poster of it...so i thought i would make one
i suppose this scene was inspired by episode 4 in 2nd GIG (GITS fans know the one i mean) theres an amazing scene at the end where kusanagi and her tachikoma are chased under a hail of bullets from one of the Hornet attack copters...so i painted my version of that
and dont feel so sorry for the tachikoma...its just a shell.

Long before I had joined DA, I had first seen the work in progress for this work years ago and thought that was a completed image. I never knew the artist who created it but I loved the work. Now , after many years later I happen to come across it by chance - blows my mind that what I saw back then was only a work in progress. Absolutely amazing! I love the extremely detailed reflection in the visor. Crazy awesome!

yea! there is a lot of action in it.. and it is full of colors.. not my tase but here i like it!

the glasses are simply amazing. and the little explosion on the building to the right of the picture is so nice. even though it isnt even the main focus of the action, it looks like you put so much detail into the little specks of rubble. the only things that seem weird are the left elbow and the right breast. other than that, its really amazing. you. are. god. xD
