i bet you never thought you would see the finished piece...those work in progress shots were submitted AGES ago!
well after a lot of time and effort, here she is..... Motoko Kusanagi
this started out life when i decided i loved the anime series so much that i wanted my very own poster of it...so i thought i would make one
i suppose this scene was inspired by episode 4 in 2nd GIG (GITS fans know the one i mean) theres an amazing scene at the end where kusanagi and her tachikoma are chased under a hail of bullets from one of the Hornet attack copters...so i painted my version of that
and dont feel so sorry for the tachikoma...its just a shell.

Damn! That is amazing!
The colors are so vivid and the details are very well done. It feels as though I'm right there in the picture next to Motoko Kusanagi and the Tachikoma. That and the action in the picture is intense.

Oddly enough, the tachikoma's flailing arm is my absolute favorite thing on here. You can just hear it screaming "Waaah!"

YES! Kusanagi versus the helicopter was *intense!* She like... hog-tied that jigobatchi! o_o But this picture is... wow. Incredible. I don't really know how else to put it, except that way. Everything looks so fluid and clean and the reflection of Niihama-shi on the Major's visor looks beautiful. I'm really keen on her hair and lips too. <3

This painting is so beautiful, i cant type enough to tell how excited i am! XD foavorite and i am going to set as wallpaper, im a HUGE ghost in the shell fan, I love how you kinda took the older motoko kusanagis hair color and kinda merged it with her current hairstyle, and i love the scene! I imagine this sas done with acrylic paint?
