i bet you never thought you would see the finished piece...those work in progress shots were submitted AGES ago!
well after a lot of time and effort, here she is..... Motoko Kusanagi
this started out life when i decided i loved the anime series so much that i wanted my very own poster of it...so i thought i would make one
i suppose this scene was inspired by episode 4 in 2nd GIG (GITS fans know the one i mean) theres an amazing scene at the end where kusanagi and her tachikoma are chased under a hail of bullets from one of the Hornet attack copters...so i painted my version of that
and dont feel so sorry for the tachikoma...its just a shell.

This is the most "lively" GitS picture I've ever seen. Also great work. Details, those colors I love them even though Ghost in the shell is somewhat dark, cyberpunk (can't find a genre closest to what I mean) piece for me. Her right arm is a bit wierd. (the shoulder and the arm should be a bit behind....)
But otherwise...it's perfect.

O_O amazing! GITS is a great show and everything in this picture is done amazingly including something as small as the Laughing Man emblem and the city reflected in Motoko's glasses I LOVE THIS!!

wow.. this is just superbly done.. the skill you have brought across is this is beyond anything I could ever hope to achieve! the detail is stunning! From the japanese posters to the shimmer in her hair and the delicate shading in her clothing!
the effects are awesome too.. the smoke is great and the bluuet fire is so realistic!
The whole pose is so dynamic and eye catching that its no wonder you've had a DD on this it is just stunning, you have really inspired me to go and try some digital colouring for myself! Oh and one last thing.. those shade rock ^^ the reflection is gorgeous

DAMN dude, I have been looking all over for this peace. My friends showed me a couple of your Illustrations before but that was when I was just getting started with DA. DAMN dude you have one hell of an eye for this stuff. I mean to get such detail is just a mind fuck. Anyway awsome job on the Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex. Yeah! That's what drawing/ painting is about, right? Beeing able to create your own poster or wallpaper of stuff you like because no one else can capture a certain scene from a movie, book, whatever or an emotion quite as you do. That is, if you are able to give your vision the form it deserves - which you quite obviously are. Hope to be there someday, too.
