And I was just looking for a short and easy quote for the project, so I picked that one.

It is a strange quote indeed. I like, "All you can do is try" better because it allows a person to try and try again, a trial and error situation so to speak. Do or do not is in a sense forcing the person to DO IT and you CANNOT fail. Kinda like a drill instructor's words.
