Description Another Knightmare Frame franken? two out of three finished Knightmare Frame Projects, complete!

This is the Caennard. It's a Limited Production version of the Justine, with various weapon, design and functional elements taken from the Guren SEITEN Eight Elements Type, such as the Radiation Wave emission capabilities and similar energy wing propulsion systems. Suffice to say, it's like the Justine and Guren SEITEN had a baby that was splashed with gold, vanilla and black.

Feel free to comment~

This is a Franken designed by me and thus not an original, from-scratch creation, though it includes -a lot of- original tweaks and parts in the design. Arts used belong to their original creators and not me.

BTW, how do you properly pronounce this knightmare's name?

Arcwalde In reply to Anzac-A1 [2013-05-26 02:59:24 +0000 UTC]

You know, I'm not too sure. A friend came up with the name and it's apparently some gaelic word. I don't remember what it stands for or anything. I've just been pronouncing it as "kay-nard."

They way you've been pronouncing it sounds right, I've been pronouncing it the same way. It would be great if you could render the Caennard like the Duke, that would look pretty cool.

Ok so it uses a smaller version of the gurens radiation wave system what else can it do and what other weapons does it have?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Arcwalde In reply to UnicornKnight321 [2012-06-03 10:06:29 +0000 UTC]

I wouldn't say it's smaller; just more precise. The power has been tuned down to allow it to fit in a more compact form, so the radiation wave is more "focused" when it strikes an opponent. In order to enhance that focused effect, the arm has additional features; such as being a giant slash harken and a rotary drill, to double the effect of the radiation wave when it hits targets from afar.

Aside from that, it can fly just as well as the Albion or Guren SEITEN, and carry any equipment from the Norn or Einherjar line, as well as weapons used by the Order of the Black Knights. Performance-wise, I'd say it's somewhere between the Guren SEITEN and the Justine, depending on the pilot.

Wow man you should make more Knightmares with the energy wings

You said this Knightmare was a Franken; what Frames did you use parts from?

Incidentally, as someone who's done a little bit of recoloring on Gundam Frankens, I'd like to say that you've done a pretty good job on the repaint.

Guren, some mecha from Heroic Age, pieces of the Justine, which used pieces that came from Xenogears Perfect Works. That's what I can remember off the top of my head, anyways.

FFfanboyX In reply to Arcwalde [2012-03-13 04:04:16 +0000 UTC]

Ah, I see. C's World bless the Guren; it has perhaps the most original mecha weapon I've ever seen. Giant cannon? Seen it. Swords? Neat, but in all honesty they've been done to death from medieval times to the far future. Giant Claw of Explodingness? Epic. There has to have been at least a few soldiers who saw the Guren reach out to grab them and thought 'Ha! I shall fight this monster in the name of Brita-oh SHIT this is the one that kills with a touch! Eject, ejAAARGH!'

...I think I might have gotten off-topic there. Oh well.

Oh, and I took a look at the Frame Crash stuff. Very nice!

I absolutely love this design!

But I have to ask, how exactly does it use its radiation wave? I do not see the typical arm which produces said effect

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Arcwalde In reply to DeathlessLegends13 [2012-01-15 04:02:00 +0000 UTC]

It doesn't have the large, bulky arm of the Guren; it's in a more compact form, being a more advanced generation KMF. Isn't as effective as the Guren's either, being of a limited production design and lacking the large claw for grappling opponents.

Think of it more in line with G Gundam's Shining Finger; it produces the same effect as Guren's Radiation Wave in a more limited space and with less power, while coupled with a few additional features to try and make up for that power.

DeathlessLegends13 In reply to Arcwalde [2012-01-15 04:08:40 +0000 UTC]

That makes sense, but what other systems does it have that makes up for it? the only ones you mentioned is the Radiation wave and the Energy wing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Arcwalde In reply to DeathlessLegends13 [2012-01-15 04:11:03 +0000 UTC]

Its arms are fly-by-wire slash harkens, capable of rotating at high speeds kind of like a drill. So if the radiation wave doesn't get you, it can pair that with high speed rotation to drill through your armor and do it at a distance to boot.

Nice! although it still doesn't quite beat the satisfaction of blowing up a Knightmare in one go, it is still a great idea!

It's a franken as stated in the description, so it's a fusion of various parts and maybe a couple of original tweaks, like the left foot.

Energy Wings "IN LOVE"!!! may be just a silly idea of mine, but could make some franken with wings outspread? Thanks for your attention.

What program did you use? Excuse me if I'm taking your time, but I would like to know because I am wanting to start creating my own Knightmare Frames.

MS Paint, Adobe ImageReady from CS2, IrfanView... Pretty old and basic progams for image manipulation really. Stuff like GIMP will work just fine, too.

Do you actually draw these pictures? You say they're not original from scratch. Where do you find the art?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Arcwalde In reply to Raxis [2010-10-04 12:29:26 +0000 UTC]

Places like MAHQ, various official mecha anime websites, fan art I find laying around on places like gelbooru or /m/, etc. I find the line art I use for frankens from a variety of sources. In the case of the Caennard, it has some original design to it on top of parts of mecha from Full Metal Panic, Heroic Age, Code Geass and Xenogears.

I used the official line art from the website, which displays the Guren's wings separately from the body in the top right of the image.

Did you draw this or is there some website that has the parts pre-render?

Arcwalde In reply to Kagearashi-no-Kaze [2009-09-25 03:04:14 +0000 UTC]

It's a franken. Meaning I took parts from various mecha and pieced them together to make it. You can find mecha art for such at places like MAHQ.

This particular Knightmare Frame, much like the Justine, has wheels integrated into the heels, rather than in the form of landspinners on the side of the legs.
