Draft for an Earthbound piece I'm doing for Otakon. I did it from memory, so there were a bunch of errors in the characters' details... yeah.Related content

Character details aren't too off, aside from Jeff who's missing his jacket.
However I see much anatomy that I think could use some help.
For example, Ness and Poo's heads both look much adult-like, rather than child-like. Ness' eyes are too high and the back of Poo's head looks odd and enlarged in an unnatural way. Their hands could use much help, such as the yo-yo Ness is holding, which hardly has any palm in it, while the bat hand has only three knuckles. Paula's face looks flat, and overall their torsos and arms do not match up with the bottom half of their body, such as the arms looking much too long compared to the legs. Also, Ness' face looks pushed in with his hat going way out, a problem that can be fixed if you moved the hat back and gave Ness more of a skull, complete with the crown of his head. Otherwise, his brain is just pushed all into his forehead in a weird shape.
Otherwise, it's very stylized, and the effects add much to it. I really cannot wait to see the finished piece, but with the problems mentioned beforehand, it'll leave a lot to be desired.

Well, it IS a draft. Which means, I start over from scratch, using this as a rough guide. So, I don't think the anatomy issues will carry over. I did do this as one big gesture drawing and thought I'd ink it, so yeah, thanks for the feedback, but I'm not gonna make a mountain out of a molehill and try to run this to a auction expecting people to pay for it.
