Just thought I'd put this up, to make myself look cool and all. You're definitely cool if you have a collection of Nintendo and Sega plushies, right?

I gathered these between 3rd and 6th grade, I'd say... and boy, did I love 'em. In fact, these guys probably played a big part in fashioning my storytelling theory and method.

I was a bit of an insomniac as a kid, so I'd act out whole epic movies with these guys as I laid in bed. In the silence of my room, I'd carry out hushed dramatic confrontations, doing all the voice acting myself, before the characters bust out into beautifully choreographed combat scenes. Yes, Mario's missing a button, because he was the most popular character, and he got gripped and tossed around the most. I didn't get Sonic and Knuckles for a while, so I didn't branch into Nintendo vs. Sega duels until the latter end of my plushie-collecting career. I just wish I could've found a Peach plushie... er, wait, maybe it's a good thing I didn't, because then I'd do nothing but Mario x Peach fanart and fancomics all the time. If I could find a Waluigi plushie, I'd have all four of the plumbers!

I'd often enroll other stuffed animals and plushies (including several Pokemon, but they're in a box somewhere) as stand-ins for Mario enemies and other Nintendo characters, but these guys formed the core cast of my nocturnal adventures of drama and combat.
