Good ol' Quote from Cave Story. Who else is pumped about getting to play it on Virtual Console?...Yeah, his gun is based off of a Nerf Maverick... what can I say? I really love that gun. That, and I'll be repainting it and using it as my Polar Star prop when I cosplay as Quote at Katsucon... so why not keep up some continuity?

I absolutely love the addition of the shading around Quote! Gives off a "bada**" vibe, which I can see the boy robot as!
...and you'd better find a good Curly to go with Katsucon, ArcZero! (or better yet, Balrog!)
Oddly, you're not the first to cosplay Quote WITH a Nerf Maverick-turned-Polar Star... I guess it really IS a good gun!

Well, it looks like a Nerf N-Strike because it's pretty much based on one. 
But come on, now, you can't expect everybody to know about Cave Story... I only heard about it by word-of-mouth from ~ZaxZero , who's real big into the indy gaming scene. I, on the other hand, am not... or rather, wasn't until I was introduced to Cave Story.
A scarf? I drew this off of Pixel's official art, and didn't really notice a scarf on him... now that I look at it closer, I guess I can see it there. I'll have to add that in future renditions.

Maple Story ended up being a korea only thing I believe. The DS Cave Story project kinda flew away, but could easily make it to the DS Store coming out when the DSi is released... I think.
Right now someone made it for PSP and it works great.
