"Jack?" Arcee whispered.

The boy's eyes lit up, and the indescribable joy that flooded across his features broke any inhibitions Arcee might've carried. She pushed Rattrap and the others aside and fell to her knees, arms outstretched.

Jack had his arms wrapped as far around her chassis as they would go almost before she had time to say his name again. With a loud cry, Miko soon followed, with Rafael bringing up the rear.

"It's you! You're here! You're here!" Jack's voice broke, and his declarations trailed off into soft sobbing.

Rafael did not even try to hide his tears, clinging both to Miko and to Arcee and sniffling. Miko tried to keep a stiff upper lip, but every time she tried to get a word out, her face crumpled.

Arcee wrapped them in her arms and rocked back and forth, keening. They were all here, and they were safe and whole!
