What were the reasons for the changes? At first I thought this was a flash back to Dick Grayson and Batman's early years, looking at the symbols, gloves and masks.

The reason is I drew the wrong costume. The Batman is Dick, not Bruce Wayne, and the inker who did the revisions.

Ah! See, for me, I thought it was a flash back paying homage to the Batman and Robin movie, particularly, because of the revised mask on Damien/Damian. I haven't read much Batman of late (pretty much missed the entire Dick Grayson Batman run).
