Reminds me of the ol' Balthazar statue in Guild Wars' pre-searing Ascalon.Β Ah, the memories...
Looks great, btw. Β Love how nature and the man made elements are coinciding together, abeit creating a foreboding environment...

No worries!
And as ancient as GW1 is I still feel it was superior to GW2, both in terms of artistic merit and story.Β It just had more... grit.
That and the collectors editions for its expansions were incredible resources for us artists.

I see stairs, stones, trees and lights. Seems you took a trip to your home forest. The lighting once again is magical here!

It's something that I also wonder, I guess that mystery is what makes them so attractive.
thanks for comment!

I think this is a very creative painting and could have several concepts to it .
I feel the path is a very good eye lead into the paintingΒ and draws the viewer deeper into the image and draws the eye to the larger monument ?
Actually it could also be viewed as a mystical fantasy figure that was waiting to stop the traveler on the path from passing into his protected territory.Β I like how you used the small size of the figure of the traveler to emphasize how colossal the mystery figure is.
The color palletΒ and lighter muted middle ground gives this a very fantasy atmosphere and good perspective between the fore ground and background.Β Excellent work on this. !!!

I really appreciate your comment, and you interpretations about the stone colossus and the environment, maybe if it mark the entrance to another protected territory.
thanks so much!
