Description e2: this is a reibear, she is a girl and also a bear. reference sheet: [link]

I was testing all of the tools in Adobe Photoshop CS5. It was just a bunch of scribbles originally, but then it became this.

Bonus: I filtered it and now it looks like traditional media :3 [link]

e: my mom and sister just spent a good while staring at it and pointing out faces in the splatters, maybe you'd have fun trying that too.

I like how it really looks like traditional media! Are all the brushes/effects you used here new to CS5?

Yeah, as far as I know. Most of it is art history brush, but there is also "mixer brush" tool as well as differently shaped blurs.

How... you do dat? ; A; How much more different is 5 than 4? I DL'd got 4 since I wasn't sure if 5 was too buggy or not since it more or less just came out. : x But if it's fairly... better than 4 I'll stick with it.

For drawing, I'd say it is about the same, but Photoshop CS5 has this really, really cool context-awareness stuff where you can shop people out of their own photos.

My friend posted photos of himself at the grand canyon, and my other friend photoshopped him out of it so that it was just the background! And then everyone was like "...are you photoshopping yourself into scenery?" at the first guy. The guy photoshopped a baby out of its mother's arms too, he felt like a god!

Oh yeah, I think CS5 has comes with some cool new brushes too, like that splattery stuff at the ends of this drawing. I think it's worth "acquiring" CS5.

Ah, well I've been using it for art (well, just adding various effects and text since I use SAI) but I've been wanting to shop various pics here and there sometimes, but I have no idea what I'm doing. XD But then again, the photos are crystal clear like people seem to work with (how do they do that!?).

Haha, shopping out of a picture. Why didn't they just take a picture of the background if they didn't want the person. XD

hurrhurr I'm good at "acquiring" programs.
