Description
Trying to familiarize myself with Vue D'Esprit. Had a bit of fun playing with lighting and accidentally created a lens flare. I decided it added to the picture.Only postwork was add signature and brighten the colors a bit by increasing saturation. I suggest
Mimi I couldn' resist the allure of the butterfly boat either.
I actually have a blue butterfly that looks like this.

Thanks. I'm trying to learn Vue lighting it's so different from poser and shade. I'm in love with the boat too. Later hopefully will do a few boats in a picture

Thanks. I'm finding so much stuff to explore in vue materials. There's a bit of a difference on how the attributes are broken down. For placement of items though I noticed it's easier than Shade

sweet!
how'd you make the wake? i'm still trying to figure out how to make sea foam and such (i just started playing with esprit myself) so i can do some waters edge stuff. just smacking the base water up against a terrain produces less than spectacular results.

The wake is a separate mesh. It's a bubbling spring surface I got from Cornucopia. I intersected it with the water plain at an angle then set the material for it as foamy water.

Aww, that is so cute.
How did you get the splash in the water?

It's a separate 3d mesh made to look like a splash and the material was set to foamy water

Ah, ok. I didn't think Vue had any of those splash like objects, at least I couldn't find any in mine.

It's not a standard Vue object. It's an add-on mesh

Thanks. I can't wait to see what you and Mimi do with it.
We had a power outage last night I lost the sketch style portrait I worked on last night and left to render in Poser. To make up decided to work on exploring vue. I love how it does water.

Hey I like the lens flair, it goes with the ranges of color, really pretty I'd say ^_^

Thanks I thought it added a bit of modern magic to it. So decided to keep the flare and adjusted the angle to play against the butterfly wing.
