Good Evening!! 
He he heheheee!!! This is my entry on `s contest..... 
.... "Myths or Legends" is the topic for this contest 
....so, I chose the VAMPIRE!!!! 
__ Waaaaahhhhh!!!! I want to see all the other entries!!!!!! 
I am sure, this contest will be very interesting!!!! *___* ....... Yeahhh!!!! I know that my pic is not very original, but I like vampires!!! ......
Wait...... what is a vampire???
...... according to the legends, the vampire is a night creature, it leaves his coffin/grave and goes in sleeping humans' search for suck their blood. (forgive my bad english, neee?? 
) ....Aaaaaand the people bitten by vampires also become vampires!!!!!!! 
.......^__^U Some characteristics of the vampires:
+ They are not reflected in the mirrors....
+ The religious symbols and the sunlight hurt them......
+ They don't have shadows........
+ They can become bats........
+ The only way to kill them is to nail a wooden stake in their heart....
.......well, this is the information that I found! .... if I make a mistake, correct me please.

Forgive me if someone else already told you this, but there are different ways to kill a vampire bisdes putting a stake through their heart. If you pierce thier heart with a thorn from a rose the vampire will die and if you pour holy water on it the vampire will also die from that. Also if a vampire stays in the sunlight for to long, it could be killed by that. Those are the others few ways that I can think of from the top of my head. Anyway, I love the detail you put in to this whole picture. Their hairs looks beautiful. Plus, the lovely dress is perfect. All in all, great job!

On the contrary, I think this is very original. And it's not stupid like some vampire pics are, you know the ones that show them with bat wings and fangs and other junk like that. I mean, if the vampires have successfully evaded human discovery for this long, then they aren't going to be that conspicuous. Yeah though, as a slightly obsessive vampire fan myself I can relate to loving vampires, as I have been known to claim vampirism. Well, now that you probably think I'm insane, I can say that I am thoroughly impressed by this pic, well done.

BTW, vampire legends exist all over the world and vary in each country and generation. The one you described is pretty much the vampire stereotype. There are also stories that say they can't cross running water. If you read some of the more recent books, like Twilight or vampire stories by Amelia Atwater Rhodes, you'll see vampires that are unaffected by those rules. They can touch religious symbols, go out in daylight, have reflections, and all that stuff. However, they are prone to blood lusts and can be killed by their heart being pierced (not neccesarily by a wooden stake) or by having their head removed. I'm not saying that's the vampire you have to believe in, but some like that one better. Oh, and instead of shapeshifting they possess psychic powers (mind reading and such).
