Description
Built under license by Columbia Aircraft Co. for the U.S. Navy this Duck served in Naval Utility Squadrons 4 and 16 and also on the the U.S.S. Franklin.
Acquired by EAA in 1974, it underwent a 14 month restoration at Grumman Corp. Long Island facility.
Restoration was complete in 1982. This was one of the primary attractions when the E.A.A. AirVenture Museum opened one year later.
