Description
Captain Starshield from RatchetTook me months to complete. Made from a Ratchet and Clank Azimuth figure.
Check out the WIP file in my gallery to see how he was made.
Might make him his own custom weapons down the road but for now, he has Ratchet's Combuster pistol.
Play Ratchet: Deadlocked and check out the online mini-comic to see all about this cool minor character. Also check out his bio on the Ratchet and Clank Wikia [link]

Nice figure, but I wouldn't touch the wiki with a desanitized ten foot pole.
Also, IG featured this on Facebook!

That's really impressive! It actually looks like it could be an official figure. It seems like it could use a little more... something though. Like somehow the face could use some more in the way of detail but I know you didn't have much of a reference to go by.

Wow, this came out amazing! Well done I can see why it took a long time to complete. The details are really spot on here, making it look like an official R&C figure! I hardly ever see any fanart of Starshield too, which is a shame really (I drew him twice long ago, but they were badly done XD)
Seeing stuff like this makes me wish there were official action figures of characters from Ratchet Deadlocked. I'd buy them all, darnit
Anyway, fantastic job with this one! it came out great!

Thanks a bunch! I tried hard to make him look like he fit in with the official figure line. He's in between Qwark and Ratchet's height so he blends in.
I saw your custom figures too and they were pretty good. You've definitely got some talent for sculpting. If you're really interested in making custom figures from scratch yourself, there's this book I got recently called "Pop Sculpture" that goes over the process from start to finish. With your sculpting talent, I bet it'd be a handy informational tool if you wanted to go further.

Heh yeah, that fits alright! Since Starshield was around the same size as Azimuth (& smaller than Qwark)
And thanks I only get to sculpt once in a while... I made the DreadZone Ace 3 years ago and the Seeker Ace almost 2 years ago. Ace did come out very large though, so his size doesn't match up with the official figures
And I do sculpt from scratch. I've never tried making any from using existing figures before, but I can imagine it'll be fun to do.
But yeah, thanks a lot for that! I'll have a look into that book. Sounds very handy!

You did such a lovely job on this!
He looks like he could be the actual figure (If not better cause the paint jobs on the original figures from this game could have been better)
