    Winter had settled firmly in, digging it’s icy talons deep into the Texan ground and clutching for dear life ( did seasons even live? ) with no signs of letting go. True, it was still december and there was just no way for it to pass along so soon, but that didn’t stop her wishful thinking. It was, probably, the worst winter she had ever suffered through and that was only because they had no Weather Forecast to warn them about what was coming. If the coldfronts were sweeping in they were doing so spur of the moment, unmonitored, and leaving Lee unprepared. She needed no less that four pairs of socks for a cold front at night. And she was tired of guessing when it was going to get even colder than it already was.
    She supposed Lance would be just about as tired of doing menial tasks as she was with the weather at this point, too. His stitches should have dissolved by now, the wounds healed up enough that they wouldn
