My OC Gilfalas, normally an elf, as a merman for this year's mermay.I have a new Finetec paint (apple green) and it's perfect for him.

How did you get the luster/shimmer effect with some of the scales? Is it foil paper or is it a glitter effect (if you did this in a digital art program)? He's a beautiful fish boy, regardless.

The shiny effect is a very beautiful metallic paint called Pearlcolors produced by Finetec. The ones I used are the shades Green Pearl, Mint and my favourite, Apple Green. They are used like watercolours, basically, and have a very beautiful effect!
