I didn't even try to shoot from here as there was a constant push of tourists from behind my back...

I just checked the original RAW file to answer your question: eight people. On that day there were probably less tourists than usually, since the weather was a mix of cold wind and pouring rain.

8 is not bad. There were like 30 when I was there. I'm finished with day 2 and did a brief check on day 3 (seljalandsfoss, gljúfrafoss, skogafoss and kvernufoss), the amount of people is enormous. Wedding photographers were the worst, the stayed at the same place, even long exposures didn't work.

It's a dilemma: Iceland is amazingly beautiful, and quite a paradise for nature photographers. But the increase in tourism it experienced over the past couple of years takes away from that experience.
