Hehe, well there is a gradient that makes the bagkround darker towards the bottom. But that's in contrast to the shading of Sollux and Aradia getting lighter towards the bottom and darker towards the top! So that's where the illusion comes from when you scroll down, it's the contrast between gradients in foreground and background
