First off, making Breakcore is really easy, you just slap on a pad loop with some weeb chords n shit and then just put a regular ass amen break over it and you're done. Dnb, however, takes effort. You need to arrange a good beat with a good sound and it can range from multiple melodies, not just a pad loop and a couple synths here and there. And you can shape the drums however you want! (You can do this with breakcore too, but sampled drums are a bitch to work with.)

Another reason why Drum n Bass is better is because the album covers are diverse and not just some random anime art that someone found online. Breakcore artists usually tend to do this and it gets on my nerves, but this may be just cause I'm biased towards the fact that the 2 constants of the internet are anime and furries, but anime is more prevalent and universal making it taint more properties with its touch. (Except for R&M Genocider, that shit was awesome.)

The only good "breakcore" song I can name is Triple Helix by Lone, it doesn't use weird so-retro chords and it sequences its beat too, which is a shit ton more effort than what was to come.

I've used amen breaks in my songs before, but I used them sorta like old hip hop artists where they slow it down. Something I have to give the beat credit for is that it works with slow and fast tempos rather than being native to just one.

But overall, it's not that special, and you're not cool if you use it considering the fact that it's THE most sampled loop in music history and was used by everyone.

I used to like breakcore until it gained traction in late 2021 and so on. It felt special before, but the specialty withered away fast when... THEY came along. You see, kids, when something gets popular, it decreases the specialty of the media, because so many people have seen it that it's almost not special anymore.

Drum n Bass has always been popular, but it was mostly to an extent of how good the song sounded rather than if it was helpful with a mental disorder or whatever the fuck. Though being relatively popular, Drum n Bass still had effort and talent! No 14yo weebs in sight! No silly samples! No 'so-retro'shit! Wahoo!

If you like Breakcore, that's fine, I don't like it though.
