And here's Silver, in all his broody glory!

Were you not expecting his personality to match with Steel/Ground type? Were you expecting Dark? Did you assume it would be Ice? :3

WELL IT'S NOT. And, once again, I have my reasons.

Keep in mind that this describes what he was BORN with, not what circumstances have caused him to ACT like. That guy's been through some rough shiz. (I haven't mentioned this in the comic yet, but most of you still know what I'm talking about.) And PLEASE don't go posting his backstory in the comments! I want to keep things a surprise for the ones who don't know.

The nature and characteristics are pretty obvious. But do you even care why I typed him as Steel/Ground? Well, I'll tell you anyways. (incredibly vague spoilers ahead.)

Ground types are... well, grounded. They know what they want, and they stick to their goals without being too stubborn, extreme, or self-destructive like Rock types. But they are unwavering, and they know who they are and what they want in life. Silver might not be ready to stop growing, but at the very least he IS aware of who he is and why he's like that, and obviously his unwavering goal is to become the strongest trainer ever. Also, he inherited Ground-type as a hereditary thing. His father was part Ground-type, too.

As for Steel. (Well, for one, Steel is a metal like silver. HUEHUEHUE I'm funny.) Silver is a very defensive person. If Ari got insulted, she'd immediately fire a meaner insult back, but Silver doesn't work that way. If someone hurt him, he'd justify his actions, close up, shut down, and tell them to stop talking. He's obsessed with not being weak. And hey! What type has high defense and doesn't have many weaknesses? Steel. Also, Steel is kinda the opposite of grass in the sense that Grass types are one with nature and Steel types kinda disregard it; they're all about humans. (Silver does not value pokemanz.) But the main reason I picked this type...

Steel may seem cold and hard and impersonal, but just a little fire can melt it and forge it into something better. Something new.
