Description
'till the fat lady stands and looks a little badly-drawn.Get it?
Very basic sketch, but I'm having a go at drawing larger women, instead of always going for that unrealistic willowy-with-hourglass-curves-type-thing.
Hopefully it'll get better... any thoughts on improvements for this style?
Please help!

Never draw a fat girl wearing a top like this again. They look horrible, trust me. And never draw stripes. Stripes are the fat girl's worst enemy.
If you need more help with the figure, go take a look at the City Chic catalog. (They have awesome clothes, btw )
But you've done pretty well on this. It's realistic, and I like that.

yeah I only did that so I could get to grips more with the body than the clothes- I can draw a fat girl with a 'slimming' empire line top or something, but I wanted to try the real shape of a fat girl, you know?
Thanks awb!
Have you got any tips for future fat-girl drawing?

Tips? Sure, plenty. Only one I can think of off the top of my head right now though... 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Don't make her wear hipsters. The resulting muffin-top is inescapable.

gotcha.
Again, that's something I was actually going for. What I want to know is- do you think the muffin top's right? o_O

Considering where those pants sit on her, and that they appear to be trackies, it's about right. Flab sits differently with different types of trousers, unfortunately.
