i love this SO much. the desaturated palette really gives a nod towards how cold it is. It also makes the blue of the water and yellow of the forest stand out quietly, leaving room for the red RED sweater to pop out. the dog's body expression is so lively and alert, it's such a neat conrast to the pensive, peaceful human. the level of detail in this is really nice too. you've captured the gradient from "most detailed subject" to "least detailed background" really well. It's something I struggle with myself and so it's exciting to see someone else hit the nail on the head!
