Emily (consoles her gently): There, there. Please, don't be sad, Ariel dear. I am so sure Eric has got you after you save him from drowning during the storm, not Vanessa. Your daddy was wrong about him. Eric is as special as you are. You love him and he lives with you in no time, I assure you.

Ariel (sniffles): Really?

Emily: Mmm-hmm, everything is going to be alright. I promise you your dad will change his mind about humans and Eric.
