Ouch. That's gotta sting for Sebastian to hear. And Ariel definitely doesn't mean ill towards him, but she is in a desperate situation for reasons that may seem petty, but teens will be teens and she learns her lesson by the end.

There's also the fact that Sebastian told on her to her father and she was hurt by that. But like you said, Ariel means no ill towards him and she learns her lesson in the end.
