Oh man was this a lot of work... I haven't spent this much time in putting an OC into a RP in a long time ._.

[Data Update] Character Info//
- At first Haiden can come off as a helpless young man who always runs from his problems rather than confronting them with a complex of "I will save everyone." The cause of such behavoir stems from a tragic happening in his past. Usually when the topic arises, he feels uneasy and a stroke of worry consumes him causing him to quickly change the conversation or leave. He seems to have a strong respect for his late older brother, Canaan, who was a knight. He tends to not treat those too kindly who speak ill of him, but won't do much about it. Though he doesn't speak of it often and is strange about who he speaks about it too, it can easily be shown in his tone of voice how he feels about the whole situation and his feelings towards his brother.
- Since Canaan's death, Haiden's speech is usually reserved as he is still recovering from bearing witness to his parent's death. Often when he feels speaking isnt so required he will usually keep to one word answers or comments. When having certain feelings on a matter, the boy will voice his opinion. Feeling a bit mentally unstable, Haiden tends to have outbursts of anger and frustration when his emotions tend to get the best of him.
- Haiden is easily affected by harsh words and rash actions, especially when they involve personal subjects. Sometimes he can mistaken a joke for something serious and storm off after making a big deal over it. He doesn't take to kind to sarcasm directed his way and will often make a witty and snide comment towards the person. He is often careful when it comes to battle, not wanting to rush into things who will often think out the battle before commencing, if he even enters the battlefield at all. When one rushes into things, it is common that he will naturally scold them.
- Often, Haiden is shown to have a rather cold side to those he has just met and/or doesn't know well. Despite this, it is shown that he does have a warm and caring side to him. He will only defend a person unless he truly sees them as a friend. At almost rare times it is shown that he has a a subtle sense of humor. Growing up, Haiden looked to his brother for support in many things and over time he became very dependent of Canaan and later emotionally dependent for him, which is to cause for his near unstable mind set.

- In Haidens family, his father was a knight and so his brother. Yet, he did not come from a generation of knights... His mother, a Maiden and his grandparents ranged from bishops and guardians on his father's side, and maidens and mages on his mother's. His father had a great sense of Knights being a very noble and proud thing and pushed such a thing on both of his sons, Canaan, the oldest, and of course Haiden. In honesty, his father and Canaan were the first knights of the family. Haiden never wanted to be a knight, he felt as if that wasn't him, that he wouldn't have the strength to do so... which was entirely true. Since birth the boy had always been weak and quite frail. It wasn't until the very early start of training to become a knight, it was realized by many other that he would never be cut out for such a thing. His father still disagreed for he believed that he would start a generation of male knights in the family. Any one to have a son in the Kross family shall become a knight, and that was that. He wouldn't have Haiden become any other, even if he was 'weak'. So, Haiden tried but horribly failed. His elder brother, Canaan, who was already a knight tried to give him as many pointers as he could and was really the only one who positively supported him besides his mother.
- When Haiden's older brother died in battle, it hit the boy hard. Hadien looked up to Canaan greatly, for he wished he was a strong and brilliant as he saw him. Canaan died in battle while trying to save a heavily wounded ally from an enemy attack. In the end, neither lived. After hearing about how his brother died, it created his now, "I will save everyone" mindset, for he wanted to help others and save other just like his brother tried too. You could say that Haiden tried to be just like his older brother in a sense. Around that time, His fathers grasp on him becoming a knight quickly faded away and he could finally go for a class that he was more comfortable in doing as well as matching his strengths and weaknesses. That was the day he began training as a Maiden, which was an easy switch for his training as a Knight wasn't very long before Canaan died.
- As his training further, his parents began to become more and more distant, slowly forgetting about Haiden due to loosing their first son. That was when Haiden decided it was time for him to quit relying on his parents, it was time for him to leave them before things became harder on them before he slipped from their lives completely. The day that he left, his mother gave him the Nornir, a deck of magical cards, which had been passed down from generation to generation of Maidens in the family and taught him a special spell that goes with. His father said or did nothing about his leaving. Didn't even do so much as give the boy a simple "Good-bye." After leaving his parents, he eventually became a Maiden that helps and supports those on the front lines despite his younger age.

▂▂✖▁ Haiden is pansexual - loves a person for who they are, not what they are.
[Log Sequence] Battling//
Description: Tosses one of Nornir's cards towards an ally while casting, usually ally should catch the thrown card but affects will still work if not. Drops both Haiden's HP and defense by 50%, allowing ally to have 5-10sec of defense while restoring up to 50% of their HP. *Duration of spell ranges on Hadien's concentration, spell can be cancelled if Haiden were to be hit, HP and defense will still be dropped but ally will not recieve buff or heal. The effect of the spell weakens the farther away an ally is from the card. (4hr cool down.)
Appearance: The thrown card begins to faintly glow white before causing the intended ally to glow with faint beams of light coming from the ground at ally's feet.
Description: More Block against two incoming hits. *May break in the first attack if enemy's base Attack is bigger than user's total Defense.
Appearance: User summons a white shield that protects user against the two next strikes.
Description: Grants user the ability to fly for 15mins. *Overuse may cause temporary stun on user.
Appearance: Ice wings sprout on the user's back, acting like real wings and taking the user up to the sky.
Description: The next incoming attack will only deal half of it's damage, the other half will be redirected to the ground/away from the user. *User will experience blurry vision upon the hit of the incoming attack.
Appearance: N/A.
Description: Increased precision and movement speed, dodge/miss +20%, critical +14% for 1 hour. (30mins cooldown)
Appearance: N/A.
Description: Increased Health for two hours.
Appearance: N/A.
Description: Amount of magic used on each spell decreases by 20% for 30mins. *Value depends on base Magic stat. (2hrs cooldown)
Appearance: N/A.
They contain and allow Haiden to use magic. They were given to him by his mother, who was also a Maiden, the day before he departed from home. The cards are half white, half black with a picture of the Khadroman's symbol sprouting one black wing and one white wing. (sta.sh/07ffc6xiui0) Reasons as to why one wing is black is unknown. There once was a full set of cards to the deck but Haiden had 'lost' them or dropped them into fires or water, which renders them useless if they didn't happen to be completely destroyed. Now, Haiden only has 13 cards left and keeps a very close eye on them. To use the Nornir, Haiden tosses a card toward an enemy or an ally while casting a spell, from there the spell will come from the card itself.
Haiden has never been 'strong', for he lacks greatly in attack. The most he can do is evade an a decent speed, buff and heal... But for the most part he runs from enemy attacks, evading the best that he can. He is often rendered useless when near enemy attack, for he can be an easy an (usually is a somewhat common) target. Even if he uses a form of offensive magic, it's pretty weak. For his lacking in attack and not so fast speed, it makes Haiden very withdrawn from battle, causing him to stay as far back as possible in safe areas only to keep an eye on his allies in case they would ever need a quick get away or heal.

exactly. I really liked your stuff but it looked too good, lol. these days you get suspicious when you see anything with talent, especially OCs, because so many people make them on games/character-creator sites and then upload the image.

Or they steal other's OCs, which kind of makes me scared.
I can understand if Haiden or any of my other OCs have look a-likes cause that stuff just happens

That's why I don't make OCs anymore. I would work really really hard to come up with an idea I hadn't seen before, and then my FRIENDS would look at it and go "wow that's cool" and next thing you know, THEIR character has the same traits as mine. And it doesn't matter if it's something about their appearance, an event in their past, part of their personality, whatever. People get "inspired" by things that interest them, so you either have boring characters nobody cares about, or interesting characters that everyone rips off and then other people see THEIR OC and go on about how cool and unique it is. And you end up with someone copying you, then someone else copies that person's character, and when someone asks, they credit the person who stole from you instead, because they don't know YOU even exist.
And people tend to assume the best drawn art is the original, so if someone better than you sees your character and goes "oh that would be such a great idea, too bad it's wasted on this fail art... I'll redraw it nicer and see how it looks," then of course everybody sees the popular "good" artist and not you, and when people see yours later they assume YOU stole from THEM.

Yeah, thats exactly how it is.
On the bright side, (for me) All my characters have been thrown into RP groups, so if someone stole mine, its would eventually get back to me. (at least I would hope so)
But I'm also not that popular on DA with only a small number of watchers to not even worry so much about it right now.
(still doesnt me it can't happen though)
But as soon as I start seeing my work in other places I'm watermarking every piece of art that I've made and will continue to make.

I would watermark them BEFORE they get stolen. You really have no way of knowing that your picture is floating around on some other website that you don't know exists and you can't rely on there being someone on every website on earth who knows you and also senses the moment your art/character has been snatched and also takes the time to tell you. All it takes is one person, who isn't even a Watcher, or doesn't even have a dA account at all, to find your picture on Google and copy/paste or redraw their own OC to look practically the same as yours.
So if things like that bother you, then it's best to just do what I do and not share your OCs at all. Really the main point of art is for people to enjoy, and people WILL enjoy it, but when you become possessive over credit and control you end up being the only one who doesn't enjoy your own art anymore.
Pretty much whatever you post on the internet is a free gift for anyone and everyone to do with as they please. Sure there's copyright rules and stuff, but sometimes it's just not possible to enforce them. You can't report what you don't even know about. So all my special things that are too close to my heart, I just don't upload them at all.

But you see, I'm trying to make a career out of my art so I guess it helps that I upload everything (or at least almost everything) I draw helps me get one step closer each time.
But even water marking doesn't save me from design stealing.

Nothing will save you from people stealing your design. But as for the actual art itself, it's good to put some kind of address where the viewer knows exactly who made the art (just your name/signature is useless). The best thing of all is actually an email address. That way if a stranger sees your art somewhere they can contact you directly and immediately without tracking you down, regardless of whether they have a dA account or not. A stranger won't know the art isn't supposed to be there though unless you put a note on the picture itself, so if anyone else posts it, the people who see the picture will know they stole it. They'll tell on themselves if they repost your art.
For my other account, I used a simple easy-to-type dA name and printed that, plus a logo, on all the pictures. When you type in the dA name from the picture, there's an email address on the profile page that anyone can use whether they have an account or not.
A web/email address not only lets people alert you if they see you art on another site, but also, actually, reposting art can be free advertisement if your address is on the picture. A lot of people who repost art usually do so just because it's pretty and they want to show it to everybody, and they won't bother editing out your watermark (a lot of people aren't even good enough at photoshop to try, which is why they're copying art instead of drawing it). If your concerned about edits, put just set it in a way that can't be removed without destroying the picture.
One of the most common places I see dA art is on music videos on youtube, so in order for people to read your address (the person who uploaded the video will put "Pictures from: Google, DeviantArt, Tumblr" and that's it) then you need to have it very clear and very easy to read because the quality is probably gonna be bad and the picture is probably gonna be resized (those faded transparent watermarks are pretty but if people can't read it, it defeats the purpose).
More often than not, people are reposting art because they like it and want others to see it, not because they want credit for it. But they never keep track of who drew what. So if your name/address/etc is on all your pictures, then when people see it on another site and like it, they'll know where to go to see more pictures like it, meet the artist, etc. Having your art reposted by other people is actually an easy way to get more people to know about you, but only if there is an address on the picture for them to visit.

I never actually thought about putting an email address on my art before, thats actually a really good idea.
I think I might make a new and separate email start doing that, if not I just might make up my own custom watermark.
You do make an excellent point there. A lot of pictures I see reposted are either on Youtube or Facebook and most of the time I dont even really see the simple 'Pictures from' thing. I usually see "if you want the picture for download, ask" and thats really it ._.

yes, don't use your REAL email. xD make an email specifically for the art. then you know that ALL emails you get on that account will be related to your pictures. you'll know if anyone sends you anything, they got the email from your pictures.
no a lot of people don't even post that they got the pics from Google/etc, and "Google/dA/tumblr" is NOT how you cite a source anyway. sometimes people are like "where did you get this picture?" and they can't remember, or the person who likes it just goes ahead and copies, uploads to their photobucket and life goes on. then a third person sees THAT upload, and the cycle continues until no one has any idea where it came from. the only way to be sure your info goes along with your picture no matter where it ends up is to have your name on the picture itself.
also meaning: draw embarrassing things, don't put credit, no one will ever know you're the one who did it.
