If you get a chance to play around then i also suggest doing an almost complete tonal drawing in charcoal (willow is best) and then doing it on top with chalk pastels. I love that technique (but get some workable fixative spray to use in between layers).

Thank you. I will try your suggestion sometime. I wish I had plenty of time to work on an artwork like this. I usually make stuffs like this during my free time. I really looking forward to do a pastel drawing, but I'll do maybe classic novels or children stories, not superheroes.

crazy crazy cool idea. I would love to see it so i will try to keep my eyes open for it. I believe that you can also use a brush with water to go over the chalk pastels if you want to try that as well (i myself have not.. yet!
